gone fishin’ for a little bit

I’ve written so many blogposts lately, but only in my head while I’m doing something else…watching television in the evening something will pop into my head that I’d like to say, or while I’m in the middle of pulling weeds, ironing or laundry…the same way I used to write all my best novels while driving someplace long distance. By the time I’m near a keyboard, however, ready to write all those award winners down, they’ve just plumb vacated the premises, or I’m too darn tired and just need a break. So I’ve reluctantly decided to take a break for a few days, I think that’s all it’ll take, and when I come back, I’ll tell you all about it.

  1. I get the BEST blog ideas in the morning in the shower, but they’re gone when I sit down at the desk. Maybe I need a waterproof computer??

  2. I just have a mini-voice recorder that I carry with me. Or just buy a Hallmark greeting card with voice recording capabilities and carry it in your purse. One or two words is all I need to jog my memory about a possible post.

I’ll be anxiously sitting in the waiting room.

  3. Enjoy your “fishin'” Sometimes we all need to do that…just stop and smell those roses. I’m afraid I’m so darn busy lately, my roses have all turned to weeds….lol
Love that photo, by the way! Very pretty!

  4. Love the picture and all your fun comments on my posts! My mind is ALWAYS in compose mode! πŸ˜‰

And I love Cream Puff, my PT b/c of the big windows. I have NO peripheral vision, I’m afraid.

And I do love living here – even out in the western desert! It’s beautiful.

  5. Hmmm. . . i do that same kind of writing, the kind that “vacates the premises.” Love your turn of phrase and look forward to more from a recharged winter songstress.

  6. Sometimes I blog in my head, but recently I have been so tired and busy, and a bit sad, that the words aren’t leaving my fingers. I’ll be waiting to read yours when you feel recharged and I’ll be thinking of you.

It's always nice to know what you're thinking...
