Because today is Wednesday I’m going to try a relatively WORDLESS post.
I’ve got some sort of bronchial ailment that makes me cough a lot when I try to talk. “Cough! Cough!” See what I mean? I even had to cancel an appointment yesterday.

This is daughter #1 with grandson Thomas, and that’s Pop (Hubby) in the back. It’s Christmas Eve, and we can hardly bear the wait for Santa Claus. Plus there’s another snowstorm brewing, so we’re going to try a little snowshoeing in Millcreek Canyon to pass some of the wait time and make little boys really, really tired so they’ll go to bed early. Grab your snowshoes and come along with us.

I go really, really fast so I can take a picture of the slowpokes below me!

I love the little winter streams,

with the teeny, tiny little waterfalls,

and if you look really, really hard you’ll be able to see this cheerful little snowman someone made for us to enjoy!

Look at those little snow capped rocks in the stream.

Imagine having a lovely cabin like this in the woods – with no way to get a car in
with the groceries?

Oops! Guess we’ll have to skip the convenience stop today since the “facilities” are nearly covered with snow.

Thomas is getting very, very tired and begs a ride from Mom on his new tube slide.

Mom’s an old softie!

“Hey Mom! Look at that snow cloud up there–getting ready to burst!”
It’s time to go home now, and get the cookies and milk ready for Santa.
I love the way the color shows up in the black and white world. Thanks for posting these photos.
I hope your cough is better soon, but I must admit I enjoyed the wordless entry smiling the whole time I read it. #snowshoe 7 didn’t open tho. What a magic world.
What a wonderful place to spend the holiday. Absolutely beautiful, beautiful landscape. How lucky you are. You are not alone with your cough. We all caught colds and coughs from our four little vectors. I’m still coughing and it’s into the third week. Hard to avoid.
So pretty! The pictures are beautiful. It looks pretty cold to me!
I love those pictures. I kind of wish you could see little T’s face when he’s looking up at the sky!
This was great and I really enjoyed it and I DETEST snow anymore! But have to say…..very Currier and Ives! Did love that cabin in the woods too.
